Smyrna to Host First-Ever Juneteenth Festival on the Village Green

Smyrna, Georgia – Smyrna is rolling out all the stops for its inaugural Juneteenth celebration at Village Green Park. On June 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, locals are invited to soak up a vibrant mix of live entertainment, cultural activities, and family-friendly fun—all with free admission.

A Celebration of Freedom and Unity Juneteenth, heralded as a day of freedom, history, and culture, marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. Smyrna’s celebration acknowledges this monumental chapter in history with a blend of performances and activities designed to educate and entertain residents of all ages.

Entertainment Lineup to Get Excited About This year’s line-up promises lively beats and engaging acts to keep spirits high throughout the evening. DJ Bomb Jahlaam will set the tone alongside Emcee Alton Walker, ensuring the crowd stays energized right from the start. In the early evening slot from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the soulful Rita Graham will take the stage. Following her performance, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the rhythms of Djoli Kelen's African drumming will echo through the park, closing with an exciting Stroll Off by the Cobb Panhellenic Council.
