City of Smyrna Seeks Community Input on Downtown Redevelopment

Big things are happening in the heart of Smyrna—and the city wants your voice in the mix.
Smyrna has launched a community survey to gather input from residents as it kicks off a major downtown redevelopment project. The goal? To reimagine the downtown area in a way that reflects the people who live here and love it.
This project is building off the city’s 2020 B.O.L.D. Downtown Master Plan and puts a big focus on creating more inviting public spaces, improving walkability, and making downtown easier (and more fun) to explore. One of the biggest opportunities on the table is the newly acquired nine-acre site where First Baptist Church Smyrna once stood. City leaders see it as a blank canvas for something truly special—more room for gathering, dining, shopping, and connecting.
The survey is short and easy to fill out, and it’s your chance to weigh in on what you’d love to see downtown. Whether it's more green space, better bike paths, local shops, or something totally new—this is the time to speak up.

Also, mark your calendar for the city’s first community meeting on April 28. It’s a great chance to hear more about what’s being planned, ask questions, and share your thoughts in person.
