New Multi-Use Trail Nears Final Review 🚴♀️
Smyrna’s plan for a multi-use trail along Windy Hill Road is moving closer to reality, with the Concept Development and Due Diligence phase now in its final stages of review. The proposed trail, which would run between Atlanta Road and Village Parkway, is designed to enhance pedestrian and cyclist access while promoting outdoor activity and connectivity within the city.
City officials are wrapping up their assessments of the project, with the final study expected to be completed by Fall 2024. This phase of due diligence is critical, ensuring the feasibility of the trail and addressing any potential issues before moving forward with construction.
The trail is seen as a key part of Smyrna’s broader efforts to improve infrastructure and provide more recreational options for residents. Once completed, it’s expected to be a valuable addition to the city’s growing network of parks and pathways, offering a safe and accessible route for walking, running, and biking.
